Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
