Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in returning to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently midway through the four-year agreement he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the first major trophy of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
